Meet Brandon
Born and raised in Lane County and a graduate of Springfield High School, Brandon Widener first entered the insurance industry more than 25 years ago. Today, he’s proud to serve the same community he grew up in, helping individuals, families and local businesses throughout Eugene and Springfield understand their insurance options. Brandon believes insurance should be easy to understand. His approach is straightforward: listen first, explain what coverage protects, what it doesn’t and where gaps may exist, then help each customer choose protection with confidence.

Downtown Springfield has a pretty unusual claim to fame. Matt Groening, who grew up in Oregon, has said that Springfield, Oregon inspired the name of the hometown in The Simpsons—although the fictional Springfield was intentionally kept geographically ambiguous.
The Official Simpsons Mural on the Emerald Art Center was unveiled in 2014. It places the Simpson family in a distinctly Oregon setting filled with towering Douglas firs, mountain scenery, native plants and wildlife.
The official mural was created as a sanctioned Simpsons project, and it helped inspire Springfield’s growing collection of Simpsons-themed public art. Local muralist Bayne Gardner later added many of the smaller character murals scattered around downtown, helping turn a walk through Springfield into something of a Simpsons scavenger hunt.
It’s one of those wonderfully weird pieces of local culture that feels perfectly at home here.
