Write down two ways out of your neighborhood and keep a paper map in each vehicle.

Choose a family meeting place outside the hazard area and an out-of-area contact.

Plan how children will be picked up from school or daycare if family members are separated.

Arrange transportation and accessible shelter options for anyone who needs extra help.

Keep vehicles fueled or charged and facing the direction you would leave when risk is elevated.

Pack one easy-to-carry go-bag for every person and animal.

Keep medications, copies of prescriptions, mobility equipment, and charging supplies together.

Store identification, insurance information, and important financial records securely online and in your go-bag.

Know where keys, wallets, phones, glasses, hearing aids, and comfort items are kept.

Make a home inventory with room-by-room photos or video and store a copy away from home.

Level 1 — Be Ready: monitor official information, finish packing, and consider moving people and animals who need more time.

Level 2 — Be Set: be ready to leave immediately; leave now if anyone needs extra time or you feel unsafe.

Level 3 — Go Now: leave immediately without stopping to gather belongings or protect the home.

Use official routes and TripCheck; do not block emergency vehicles.

Do not return until public officials say the area is safe.
